EUROS (July 6- July 31)

England, Germany, Sweden and France have advanced to the semi-finals.

England came back to beat Spain 2-1 in the quarterfinals. England got down in the 54' minute but pulled off the comeback in extra time. The comeback started in the 84' minute when Ella Toone scored. Spain had all the momentum but after that goal the stadium came alive again. Georgia Stanway had an absolute stunner of a goal in the 96' minute to win it for England. With England going to the semi-finals the hope of "it's coming home" is still alive.

Germany still have a chance to win their 9th Euro. They were able to defeat Austria 2-0 in the quarterfinals. It was a much closer game than most people thought it would be. It was 1-0 up until the 90' minute when Alex Popp put the game out of reach. Austria got unlucky a few times considering they hit the woodwork three times throughout the game.

Sweden needed a last minute winner to beat Belgium in the quarterfinals. Linda Sembrant was able to score in the 90+2 minute to win it for Sweden. Sweden had 33 shots compared to Belgium's three. Out of those 33 shots only 9 were on target. Belgium gave it everything they had and showed they have what it takes to compete with the top teams.

France was able to get a 1-0 win over the Netherlands. It took until the 102' minute to do so. Eve Perisset was able to convert her PK in order to give France the win. France had 13 shots on target compared to the Netherlands 1 shot on target.
