CONCACAF Championship (July 4- July 18)

The USWNT has clinched a spot in the 2023 World Cup! Group A has played two group stage matches, while Group B will play their second games tonight.

  • Group A Current Standings: USA (6), Haiti (3), Jamaica (3), Mexico (0)

  • Group B Current Standings: Canada (3), Costa Rica (3), Panama (0), Trinidad and Tobago (0)

Group A Match Day 2 Results:

  • Jamaica 0-5 USA: The United States looked a lot better last night then they did Monday against Haiti. There are still some things to work on but getting 5 goals is never a bad thing. Sophia Smith had a brace scoring twice in the first 8 minutes of the game. The other goals came from Lavelle, Mewis, and Rodman. Sophia Smith had an unreal goal to get the game going.

Haiti 3-0 Mexico: A tough night for Mexico that sees the host of qualifying most likely miss out on a World Cup Spot. Haiti on the other hand has looked very good in their first two games. They play Jamaica on Monday... with a World Cup birth on the line! Haiti's first two goals came from pks. In the 78' minute Sherly Jeudy scored the dagger off of a fantastic free kick.

EUROs (July 6- July 31)

Norway finds themselves at the top of group A after their first group stage game. All of the groups will have played their first game by the end of the weekend.

  • Group A Current Standings: Norway (6), England (6), Austria (0), N. Ireland (0)

  • Group B: Denmark, Finland, Germany, Spain

  • Group C: Netherlands, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland

  • Group D: Belgium, France, Iceland, Italy

Group A Results: 

- England 1-0 Austria: England got off to a rocky start but was able to go into halftime with a 1-0 lead. Beth Mead scored in the 16' minute off of a brilliant ball from Fran Kirby. England found a way to win but will have to play better if they want to win it all.

- Norway 4-1 N.Ireland: Norway came out and put on a show in their opening match of the tournament. Goals came from Blakstad, Maanum, Graham Hansen, and Reiten. Even though they lost it was still a huge moment for N.Ireland to score their first ever goal in a major tournament. Julie Nelson got their only goal in the 49' minute.
