FIFA Announces New Plans for the Women's Game
Happy Friday! It's a Champions League game day and both Group A and B could be decided today. U.S. Soccer have announced their nominees for Player of The Year. FIFA has announced they plan to make some changes to the women's game.

Group C and D played yesterday while Groups A and B play today.
Lyon beat Arsenal 1-0. Even with the loss Arsenal clinched a spot in the quarterfinals. Lyon won't know till next week if they make it out of the group stage or not.
Juventus beat Zürich 5-0. Juventus will also have to wait till next week to see if they make it to the quarterfinals.
Juventus and Lyon play each other next week. Whoever wins that game will advance to the quarterfinals.
Bayern beat Rosengård 4-0. Bayern have advanced to the quarterfinals.
Barcelona have also advanced to the quarterfinals. They beat Benfica 6-2.
PSG and Real Madrid play today and it's a huge game. Real Madrid need a win to have a chance at making the quarterfinals.

U.S. Soccer announced their nominees for both Female Player of The Year and The Young Player of The Year.
Female Player of The Year nominees: Sophia Smith, Mallory Pugh, Alex Morgan, Rose Lavelle, and Lindsey Horan
Young Player of The Year nominees: Onyeka Gamero, Jaedyn Shaw, Alyssa Thompson, Riley Jackson and Olivia Moultrie.

Vivianne Miedema had to be stretchered off the field in Arsenal's UWCL game against Lyon. There is no word yet on the injury but it appeared to be a serious knee injury.
Sarah Luebbert has signed with Club America of Liga MX Femenil. The Chicago Red Stars were paid a transfer fee for her.
Veatriki Sarri was named Player of The Year in Greece. She plays club soccer for Brighton.
Lisa Björk has signed with Linköping until 2025.
Beth Mead has signed a new contract with Arsenal.
FIFA has announced that they will be adding a women's club World Cup. They are also expanding the Olympics from 12 to 16 teams.
It has been reported that FIFA rejected a roster expansion for the 2023 World Cup. Teams were hoping to go from 23 to 26 players.
