NWSL

32,000 people attended the San Diego Wave FC vs Angel City game. It set a new NWSL attendance record.

The Washington Spirit has officially been eliminated from playoff contention.

Savannah DeMelo has signed a contract extension through 2025 with Racing Louisville.

Jaedyn Shaw now has 3 goals in 3 starts for the Wave. The 17 year old has definitely proved she belongs in the league. Her goal Saturday night was a massive one as it put San Diego back in first place. She also gave a 12/10 goal celebration.

No team has clinched a playoff spot yet and there is only 13 days left in the NWSL regular season. These last two weeks are going to be fun to watch.

It looks like the Shield race could also go down to the last day of games to see who will finish first in the table.

FAWSL:

The first weekend of the FAWSL brought the chaos we were hoping for!

Newly promoted Liverpool defeated the reigning champions. Chelsea scored in the first minute of the game after drawing a penalty kick. Fran Kirby was able to step up and convert it. Liverpool would then get two PKs of their own. The American Katie Stengel was able to convert both chances.

Aston Villa took it to Man City and won 4-3. They saw a 2-0 lead turn into them being down 3-2 but they were able to fight back and get the win. Aston Villa looked pretty good and is definitely a team to watch this season.
