Mallory Pugh scored two stunners and had an assist in Chicago's game vs Kansas City. She now has 10 goals and 6 assists on the season. You would think she has to be a top 3 option for league MVP this season.

Pugh went 90 yards to get her first of the night. Her second of the night started from the halfway line.

Kanas City stayed top of the table despite their loss to Chicago.

Kerolin had the only goal in the Courage's 1-0 win over Angel City. The Courage is now in striking distance of a playoff spot. They are only three points behind OL Reign who currently sit in sixth place. The two teams will face off this weekend.

The playoff and Shield race is still on and honestly no one can predict what's going to happen. There are some major match ups this weekend that could play a crucial role in both making the playoffs and winning the shield. No team has yet to clinch a playoff spot.

Kansas City who currently sit top of the table with 32 points will play the Portland Thorns who are currently in second place with 31 points.

Houston and Chicago both have 30 points and will play each other on Saturday.

San Diego and Angel City will play Saturday in front of 32,000 people. It is a major game for both sides. San Diego is pushing for the shield while Angel City is pushing for a playoff spot. Angel City is right outside of the playoffs in seventh place. They are two points behind the sixth place team and three points behind both the fourth & fifth place teams.
