NWSL

The Shield race and playoff race continue to heat up with less than a month to go. With only five points separating the top team from the sixth place team every game is huge in terms of getting points. Several teams can still make their way into the playoffs as well. A few teams also have games in hand.

Crystal Dunn made her return to the field Friday night! The return comes just 112 days after giving birth to her son. These were her first game minutes of 2022. She subbed in at the 86th minute.

Usually we get NWSL After Dark chaos but this weekend we had NWSL After Brunch Chaos. There was seven goals in the Spirit vs Wave game on Saturday. Ashley Hatch scored a PK in the 90+10' minute to win it for the Spirit. Amber Brooks had a brace for the Spirit... while playing center back. Alex Morgan also scored a brace bringing her goal total to 15 on the year. She only needs 3 more goals to tie the all-time record for goals scored in an NWSL season. Sam Kerr currently hold that's record which she set in 2019 with the Chicago Red Stars.

Kansas City just can't lose. They have now gone 13 straight games without losing. They also moved into first place over the weekend.

AD Franch has 40 career shutouts which is 2nd all-time in the NWSL.

Jasmyne Spencer hit 150 caps!

Primera División:

The Primera División got off to an odd start this weekend... or no start at all actually. All of the games were postponed due to the Referees in the league going on strike. The refs are asking for improved wages. So even though the teams knew they wouldn't be playing they still had to show up and walk out on the field.

The league has called to meet with the refs today, without RFEF intervention. They are hoping to find a solution before this weekend's games.

Fridolina Rolfö of Barcelona had this to say about the situation: "Yesterday we got our game postponed because of the referees strike. When the league got professional it was my hope that the conditions should be good for everyone around the game. This means all of the many people who work hard to make this game what it is. It is important we bring everyone on this journey. For me, the positive thing about yesterday was all of the fans that came along and showed their support".

Serie A:

Juventus vs Inter delivered exactly what we were hoping it would. It had six goals and a red card. Two goals were scored in the last three minutes of the game... one by each team. Ghoutia Karchouni delivered the game tying goal goal for Inter in the 90+3' minute. It was a heartbreaker for Juventus who thought they had won the game when Cristiana Girelli scored in the 90' minute.
