EUROS (July 6- July 31)

The finals are set! England will take on Germany at 12 PM EST on Sunday. The game will be played at Wembley Stadium. Alex Popp and Beth Mead both continue to be on fire. Popp netted a brace against France in the semi-finals, while Mead scored the winning goal vs Sweden in the semi-finals. They both have six goals in the tournament. One of them could walk away with both the Championship and Golden Boot.

England beat Sweden 4-0 in their semi-final game. Sweden looked like the better team for the first 20 minutes. They had three really good opportunities that they should have taken. Mead got the party started for England in the 34' minute. England went on to score three goals in the second half. Bronze, Russo, and Kirby all got on the score sheet. Russo had a ridiculous back heel goal.

Germany defeated France 2-1. Alex Popp put Germany up 1-0 in the 40' minute. Four minutes later France were able to tie the game right before half time. The goal went down as an own goal against Frohms (German goal keeper). Although it was an own goal it all came from a fantastic strike by Diani. She nailed the ball and it hit off the post than rebounded off the back of Frohms. Popp came to the rescue in the 76' minute when she scored again. Her brace would be enough to get Germany to the finals.

Copa America Femenina (July 8-29)

Brazil will face Colombia in the finals Saturday at 8 PM EST. Argentina and Paraguay will play in the third place game tonight at 8 PM EST.

Colombia defeated Argentina 1-0 in the semi-finals. Colombia scored in the 63' minute thanks to a goal form Alegría.

Brazil beat Paraguay 2-0 in the semi-finals. Their goals came in the 16' and 28' minute. Borges and Zaneratto were the goal scorers.

With their wins both Brazil and Colombia have qualified for the 2023 World Cup.
